How to get started in Pick 3 and Pick 4?

Without learning the trade and giving yourself time to see what systems, tools, workouts work the best for you it will not be easy to become successful. You have to watch what others do. You have to compare and adjust things the way that fit your needs best. There is no system, tool or workout that fits everyone, there is no "One System fits all". Every player has their own playing style, budget, interest etc. A system cannot dictate how you should play, you decide what system to use and what numbers to play.

In games of chance, there is no fast lane; you can learn from others but you cannot copy someone else's style one to one because they might play in a different environment, different mindset, different budget brackets, different states and and and. While this all sounds like a lot of blah blah blah, it is the most important information when you start out to become more serious with your playing. Patience, patience, patience.

"Rome was not built in one day. You won't become a top hitting player in one day either. It will take a while."

How to approach the game?
Here are certain things to think about too. Let's get a bit more specific:
Pick 3 and Pick 4: Again, many people try to take the fast lane; Pick 4 brings more money, so let's play just Pick 4 right away. Right? Wrong. If you want to get the feel for a certain game, look at the one with the better chances first. There are only 1000 straight options in Pick 3 but there are 10000 straight options in Pick 4. Winning the same amount of times in Pick 4 as in Pick 3 you would have to play about 3.5 times as many numbers; that means it costs you 3.5 times more to play and if you are losing a few times your budget is low before you even start winning. At the same time the playing strategies are similar and you learn the ropes without being broke before you star

Back-testing: The only way to get a head-start is to test your approaches with previous draws from the past to quickly see what system hits for you and what not. If the systems you are trying do not provide such a feature, play multiple states at the same time on paper to get more results quickly. There are usually no systems that work in one state better than in others; at least not any of the ones that are offered on the Pick34.com and new.P34SUG.com web sites. Like in real life you might have some downs and ups but you are trying to find the systems and tools that work best for you on a continuous basis. Also in the same area; use the LSG forum to ask for experience with particular systems and tools. The more specific the questions the more likely some valuable answers will come up.

Online Betting: Another thing to look into is - if you are not doing so already - playing online at betting places instead of in the local store. The major difference is that you are playing in a Casino environment with higher payouts and lower bets; in Pick 3 you can bet online 25 cents on a number boxed and get $37.50 for a win, compared to - depending on the state - playing 50 cents for a $40 win, a $1 bet straight hit brings $900, and in Pick 4 $9000. Again lower bets give you more time to win. To find out more about online betting places just ask around in the The Numbers Exchange.

Filters: They are the keys for reducing large playing lists; some players might play more that 2000 numbers every draw; with $1 each and a potential win of $9000 straight you can get quickly ahead if you have thousands of Dollars in your bank account of course and if you enjoy taking high risks. Usually people like you and me play less numbers; but that also means we cannot win every time. We need to get our budget stable though. Filters like keys, pairs, sums , cut sums, line width, even odd, high low, are simple ways to reduce your playing list drastically. You have to look or follow ("track") what happens the most in your state, and what the least often, what filter or digit is out for a long time and might soon come back, that information is important and is available on the site once you find all those charts and graphs.

Systems/Workouts: Typically systems that try to predict the future outcome are forecasts; sometimes those numbers come right away, other time a bit later. You have to see it like predictions of the weather, the rain might come a bit later then expected, sometimes it just misses you. But the systems are the basis to build on. They give you the base numbers the foundation of your selection; if there are too many numbers, you reduce them using tools like the Basic Reduction or the Number Combination Slasher that many use here. Also keep in mind that many of the Pick34.com systems rank the numbers, meaning often the first numbers of a list are the most likely. Also typically players use 3 to 5 of their favorite systems as a base and select the numbers that most of the systems pick, or add their own ideas to bring the numbers down.

So to get a feel for what's available on the Pick34.com web site look at the systems like Number Choices, Cheat Sheet, Code H, Code S and Code P, see what works best; most are available for both Pick 3 and Pick 4. Look at Clean and Dirty numbers to bring the selection down, check out the Filter Distance Graphs to see what filters are out for long and might come back soon, look that distribution graphs to see what filters are hot in your state, keep those in mind, check out the due lists to see what filters are due. At the same time look at the filter charts and the game coach tool to understand all of the different filters; the more you understand the faster you get a feel for numbers and if you need to ask questions you can be far more specific.

GOOD LUCK!
