Digit Filters Down Middle Up Boxed The Down Middle Up Boxed (P34ID:DMU-BOX) is a so called "digit filter". A digit filter divides each digit into options. The Down Middle Up filter has the following options:
Down Middle Up = Digits D = 0 1 2 3 M = 4 5 U = 6 7 8 9
Digits 0 = D 1 = D 2 = D 3 = D 4 = M 5 = M 6 = U 7 = U 8 = U 9 = U
Down Middle Up = Digits D = 0 1 2 3 M = 4 5 U = 6 7 8 9
| The Down Middle Up filter in combination with VTracs, VZero, ATrax and Neighbors:
VTracs 1 = D 2 = D 3 = D 4 = M 5 = M
Neighbors 1 = D 2 = D 3 = D 4 = M 5 = M
| VZero 0 = D 1 = D 2 = D 3 = D 4 = M
ATrax 0 = D 1 = D 2 = D 3 = D 4 = M

The addition "Boxed" (BOX) refers to the fact that in this case the position within the result is of no interest. So the filter string is always sorted in ascending order. Down Middle Up (DMU) is an alternate approach of Bottom Middle Top (BMT). They both divide the digit range of 0 to 9 into 3 fields. While Bottom Middle top gives the center area a higher priority with 4 digits (3, 4, 5, 6) the Middle here only counts 2 digits (4 and 5) and prioritizes the higher and lower digit ranges.
