Combined Filters VZero Distances Pick 5 The VZero Distances (VTZ-DST) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion.
To show you how to calculate the VZero Distances filter for a Pick 5 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 5 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide 99952 into separate digits: 99952 => 9 9 9 5 2 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 9 = 4 9 = 4 9 = 4 5 = 0 2 = 2 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 4 4 4 0 2 = 44402
Part II: Pick 5 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 44402 => 4 4 4 0 2 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 4 to 4 = 0 4 to 4 = 0 4 to 0 = 4 0 to 2 = 2 2 to 4 = 2 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 0 0 4 2 2 = 00422
