Combined Filters VZero Distances Pick 3 The VZero Distances (VTZ-DST) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion.
To show you how to calculate the VZero Distances filter for a Pick 3 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 3 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide 278 into separate digits: 278 => 2 7 8 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 2 = 2 7 = 2 8 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 2 2 3 = 223
Part II: Pick 3 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 223 => 2 2 3 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 2 to 2 = 0 2 to 3 = 1 3 to 2 = 1 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 0 1 1 = 011
