Combined Filters Neighbors Distances Pick 5 The Neighbors Distances (NB-DST) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
Neighbors (NB) is yet another alternative to the old VTracs (VTX). Instead of combining digits by adding 5 it selects the all even digits with the next odd digit up, 0 with 1, 2 with 3 all the way to 8 with 9. It is another efficient way to combine an odd with an even digit.
To show you how to calculate the Neighbors Distances filter for a Pick 5 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 5 Neighbors Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide 44452 into separate digits: 44452 => 4 4 4 5 2 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 4 = 3 4 = 3 4 = 3 5 = 3 2 = 2 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 3 3 3 3 2 = 33332
Part II: Pick 5 Neighbors Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 33332 => 3 3 3 3 2 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 3 to 3 = 0 3 to 3 = 0 3 to 3 = 0 3 to 2 = 1 2 to 3 = 1 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 0 0 0 1 1 = 00011
